   How was it? Yes, it's true. even i don't really know about Arwah Tun Dr Ismail.

   It was.. urmm.. challenging. It was a bit monotonous, the scope was quite narrow, ultimately on the man himself.
   
   I kindof agree with Am. They didn't really portray the Malaysian people that much in the play other than a few scenes of them praising him. Kind of hanging since it talked a lot about 13 May.
   
   The play is also a bit too Englishy. Well, maybe they do talk in those mode of English back then but it lack the Malaysian-ness. Kindof strange since it was about the man who saved Malaysia..

   I must admit that I don't know much about Tun Dr. Ismail despite the fact that the place my family's staying bears his name, but for some strange reasons I feel that he's one of my favourite politicians. I remember reading a special tribute for him on NST maybe a couple of years ago in conjunction with the release of his biography, it said that Tun Dr. Ismail didn't want to be a politican in the first place but the situation forced him to (a fact that gives rise to the title of that biography, 'The Reluctant Politician anyway'). But what a politican he was.
   
   This reminds me to get his biography when I get back to Malaysia end of this year insyaAllah.

   I think we really need to learn about past politicians. Nowadays we only focus on those who helped during Independence while leaving out those who came after the formation.
   
   People are presented the notion that after Merdeka we all lived happily ever after up until 1969 that is. But seriously, I'm sure there are more than that. Those confrontation days.. as well as the days leading up to 13 May. Who are the players?
